The decontamination was carried out using two chemical agents and strict adherence to safety protocols. We collaborated with PYRONOVA, who provided part of the technological services.
The decontamination process involved thorough treatment of emergency vehicles and fixed firefighting equipment using specialized chemical agents. The effectiveness of the decontamination work was verified through analyses of collected samples, which included old foams, wastewater, and new foams. All generated waste, including old firefighting foam, was safely transferred to UN-approved containers meeting the requirements for the transport of hazardous waste under ADR regulations and handed over for final disposal.
The work was conducted with the utmost emphasis on the safety of workers, who used personal protective equipment, including masks with filters for respiratory protection. The project also involved the dismantling and subsequent reassembly of technological units to ensure thorough decontamination. The project was executed in cooperation with PYRONOVA, who provided expert support for the technological operations.
