Project description
The project focuses on the development of an innovative mobile unit for the safe decontamination of unregistered pressurized cylinders with unknown contents. The solution includes robotic handling of cylinders and the adaptation of advanced plasma-based decontamination technology.
The objective is to provide a safe, efficient, and mobile system for the disposal of hazardous substances directly at the source, thereby minimizing safety and environmental risks for the Integrated Rescue System (IRS) and the general public. The project will strengthen societal resilience to security and environmental threats and contribute to the prevention of potential accidents and environmental burdens.
The outcome of the project will be a validated prototype ready for deployment in real operational conditions.
Project results
The result of the project will be a functional and validated prototype of a mobile technology for the safe disposal of obsolete, unregistered pressurized cylinders with unknown contents. The technology will provide fully controlled robotic venting of the cylinder, followed by decontamination of the chemical filling using Plasmicat plasma technology, with minimal emissions and maximum protection of operators and the surrounding environment.
The solution will be operationally verified and ready for practical deployment by security services as a preventive tool to reduce the risks of chemical accidents and environmental disasters.
