Project description

The aim of the project is to establish cooperation between research organizations and the application sector. The collaboration will take place between the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University, and the companies DEKONTA, a.s. and ENVISAN-GEM, a.s., focusing on research and development of bioremediation technologies for the elimination of active pharmaceutical ingredients in wastewater treatment plant environments.

The project also includes the implementation of planned research activities in cooperation with partners from the application sector. Furthermore, the preparation and submission of jointly developed project proposals with application-sector entities is planned, with an emphasis on projects that will directly build on this project and its results. These follow-up projects will focus on biotechnology in ecology, the development and application of modern tools for chemical analysis, and diagnostic molecular biological methods.

The project also includes the acquisition of instrumental and infrastructural equipment necessary for the implementation of the research activities.
