Based on the customer's request, firefighting systems were decontaminated from PFAS substances. The subject of decontamination included firefighting vehicles and a fixed firefighting system, including the storage tank for foam concentrate containing PFAS and the sprinkler system.
The work included draining the old foam concentrate, chemical decontamination of the system, rinsing the technology, and filling with new fluorine-free foam (FFF). After completion, samples were taken for laboratory analysis of PFAS (TOPA) to verify the achievement of the required decontamination limits. Waste containing PFAS substances was disposed of at the final facility - an industrial waste incinerator. This process ensured the safe removal of PFAS substances from the firefighting system, allowing for its further safe use.
