The activities carried out included environmental impact assessment (EIA), contamination survey and risk assessment, solution design, securing land-use and building permits, preparation of EU funding applications, and the actual fieldwork. The physical reclamation of the landfill involved stabilizing the landfill body, covering it with an impermeable layer of clay soil, and biological reclamation through revegetation.
