The site, formerly home to a Benzina s.p. distribution warehouse, is located on the southwestern outskirts of Jaroměř in the Náchod district. The remediation intervention focused on the removal of contamination by petroleum substances and benzene, which was present in building structures, soil, and groundwater.

During the remediation process, excavation, transportation, and disposal of excessively contaminated soil were carried out, totaling 5,740 tons. Additionally, four single-walled underground steel fuel tanks were removed. The work also included the installation of a DN200 remediation drain approximately 53 meters long, placed at a depth of 3 meters. To ensure continuous monitoring of the remediation process, a monitoring system for soil, building structures, and groundwater was implemented.
