Project number: FW10010462
Project duration: 01/2024–06/2026
Project partners: University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague; Zena s.r.o.

Project description

The aim of the project is the development and validation of a technical solution based on membrane contactors operating in the non-dispersive extraction mode for the treatment of industrial wastewater containing toxic heavy metals.

Planned project outcomes

(i) Membrane module – functional prototype
(ii) Pilot membrane extraction unit – functional prototype
(iii) Technology for the recovery of valuable metals from wastewater – validated technology
(iv) Technology for the regeneration of waste streams – validated technology
(v) Equipment for non-dispersive selective metal extraction – utility model

The project “Membrane contactor technology for the selective recovery of metals from industrial wastewater” is co-funded with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic under the TREND Programme. This project is funded under the National Recovery Plan from the European Recovery and Resilience Facility.
