About the project
LIFE4FARMS is developing Wet4Agro, a nature-based system for treating wastewater from livestock farms. The system uses constructed wetlands and special filtration materials to remove excess nutrients, veterinary medicines, and harmful microorganisms from water. Three full-scale systems will be demonstrated in the Czech Republic and the Azores. The project aims to improve water quality and biodiversity while providing farms with an affordable and low-energy alternative to conventional wastewater treatment.
