Recycling of lithium batteries
We have developed an innovative recycling line in order to perform ecological and safe elimination of various kinds of lithium accumulators. Our goal is to obtain all the valuable metals and materials such as lithium or cobalt. The plant will be in operation between 2026/2027, after all the necessary permits will be obtained from the competent Authorities.

We belong to leaders in research and development even beyond the boarders of the Czech Republic
Innovative technology
The recycling line we have developed is our own product which we brought to life step by step, beginning with a research project, proceeding to manufacturing, testing, optimization and finishing with obtaining certification.
Emission-free operation
The recycling process won't produce any emissions of greenhouse gasses with negative effect on the climate. Our operation will follow the strictest ecological standards and will be environmentally responsible.
From phones to cars
We have developed a universal technology, which can process many different kinds of lithium batteries from various electronic devices.
Material sustainability
Thanks to our partners we will find use for almost all secondary materials, which will be repurposed in new products.
Safety first
All safety hazards including self-ignition, hydrogen production and all the specifics of lithium battery recycling were addressed in the very first phases of our project.
With our recycling process, we will reuse up to 85% of the involved materials, saving the environment and mineral resources.
Thanks to recycling we will gain valuable materials. The most valued one is black mass, which contains a high concentration of metals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel or manganese and which can be reused in batteries. Other materials include iron, copper or aluminium. Polluted plastic can be used to produce power.
Business Development Manager
We will recycle cylindrical and prismatic lithium cells
They could come from various devices, including the following:
Electrical bicycles and scooters
-
hand-operated tools
-
laptops and mobile phones
industrial devices and appliances
medical devices
backup energy sources
How we will recycle lithium batteries
Receiving of batteries
We will receive lithium batteries from partner collecting points which will take care of their collection.
Recycling
We will then sort, stabilize and disintegrate the batteries. We will separate the individual materials into the final commodities, most of which can be reused.
Materials
We will pass the final commodities to different partners - processors of secondary materials, foundries, recycled material traders and firms trading with plastic.
We put safety first
When treating lithium batteries we will abide by special safety measures, which are crucial especially during transport and storage. During any manipulation it is critical to properly insulate the electrical contacts and separate the cells using insulation materials to prevent short circuit fire.

FAQs
What is a lithium battery
It is a type of accumulator which uses lithium ions to get electrons from the anode to the cathode of the battery during an electro-chemical process. Among the benefits of lithium batteries are high density of energy, low weight and longevity. A certain drawback is the batteries' propensity to overheating.Â
Lithium batteries are used in various electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, cameras, electric cars and more.
Types of lithium batteries
- Lithium-ion batteries (Li-ion): commonly used in mobile devices and electronics. They have high energy density, low degree of self-discharge and they offer stable wattage.
-
Lithium-polymer batteries (Li-pol): they have similar properties to Li-ions, but they are more flexible, which facilitates their integration to thin and compact devices.
-
Lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4): known for being very safe and resistant to overheating, they are used in electrical automobiles.
- Traction batteries:Â used in electrically-powered machinery such as forklift trucks and other manipulation vehicles.
Where to dispose of lithium batteries?
The collection of lithium batteries is arranged by collection systems, which operate collection boxes or containers where you can dispose of your batteries. Another option are your local waste collection points.
Repurchase of lithium batteries
Some companies repurchase used lithium batteries. Find out whether you have such a company in your area and open for yourself another option for battery disposal.
